Could be better: I wouldn't allow smoking on the cabin balconies, the smoke was very bothersome. There was nowhere to fill a water bottle with drinking water; for this much money it should be possible to fill a half-litre bottle each and take it into the cabin for the night.

Could be better: The tendering in Kotor; several times the ship was in port during the midday heat; the buffet restaurant could stay open longer at lunch and dinner. In the seated restaurant there could be an explanation of what each dish actually is. The optional excursions could include more beach time, given temperatures were in the mid-thirties.

Could be better: When I speak English I want an answer in English, not Italian. In the theatre a lot of it was only in Italian too, so others were laughing while we just sat there watching. The staff – apart from housekeeping – were terrible. (MSC is light years ahead.) We never felt any connection to the ship. If I'm on an organised excursion (which I paid for, mind you), they should take me back to the ship, not leave me a 40-minute walk away, where the last few metres have to be done at a run. They really skimp on the food (at dinner too, I asked for "more" and it never came), and with a drinks package, one half-litre of water a day? That's a joke. There were lots and lots of negatives with Costa that we never felt with MSC. The price would have to be very good for us to sail with this company again.
